Why does my 1995 Ford Ranger not start?

We have a 1995 Ford Ranger that will not start. A brand new starter was put in. The charge on the battery is good. A new ignition starter was put in. New battery cables. However, when the ignition is turned on there's on a one click noise. Any ideas?

Too old it's a clunker

Nnaybe you should bring your car to a nnechanic and have hinn look at it

Pull the battery terminals off the battery posts & clean both the inside of the clamps & the sides of the posts… Fords like to corrode the INSIDE of the positive battery cable clamps.

A) The battery cables or starter cable may be too corroded internally (particularly inside the lugs) to pass sufficient current.

b) The fusible link may be blown.

c) The engine is not properly grounded.

Throwing parts is not the proper way to fix cars. Troubleshoot. Get a correct size socket and breaker bar and turn the crank pulley to make sure the engine is not seized. Engine is not seized, get the battery charged and LOAD TESTED. When the battery is good, try to start. No joy, get a test light, connect it to the negative terminal of the battery and check for power at both terminals of the starter solenoid while cranking. Connect test light to battery positive and check for ground at starter body while cranking.

Have you tried turning the motor over clockwise with a breaker bar and socket on the crankshaft pulley bolt? Perhaps the motor is seized.

Ha ha. You said the "Charge on the battery" is good. That doesn't mean the battery is good. You can still have a bad battery that reads "good" when it's bad. Get yourself another battery.

It hates you.
