Which is more reliable?

Ford Ranger or Toyota Tacoma

I'm surprised that the modern Fords make it down the street.

Ford ranger
Dad has had one for ages…
Has never gave him any headaches
Runs perfectly.

If you buy one and it breaks, then the correct answer was the other one.

Here in the US, we haven't had the Ford ranger in over a decade. However, if you are looking at reliability in a smaller truck, there's nothing more dependable than a Tacoma, except for an even older Toyota Truck. 500,000 miles is easy to do in one. I know the older Rangers weren't great, but they were somewhat decent in terms of reliability. Practically every Ford ( except the Flex) has a recall right now. That should tell you something.

No doubt Toyo All The Way!
No more Found On Road Dead
Fifth On race day
Full Of Rot and Decay

Phucked on Raw Deal

It's obvious you love Fords. Waste your own time.

Toyota all of the way

Toyota for sure

Well, my ranger (s) have always treated me right, but on my favorite one, first car btw, witch has made it to 190k on the clock and been in my family 17 years has never given us any real issues but recently i've replaced the alternator and now I gotta run a new trigger wire and it's had a few electrical issues, but I hear Toyota's are VERY good trucks too, my opinion, anything can be safe and reliable as long as you keep up on general maintenance and give it what it needs when it needs it.
