Hi so as it is part of the engines breather system, it should be obvious.so better to get it serviced by Ford.
No, I don't need to know that, but thanks for offering to tell me.
The vent solenoid is usually what goes bad. It's either mounted on the charcoal canister or with in a few inches of the canister with a 3/4" rubber hose connecting them both. If you top up your gas tank too full you may have flooded the canister with raw gasoline which will set the same code. Pull the canister and see if you have gasoline in it. Replace the canister if it's full of gasoline and replace the vent valve either way.
- I need to put a different engine in my 1982 Ford Ranger Lariat and I don't know what to put in it? It's the biggest engine you could get at the time in those trucks, so it is a v8, I just don't know the exact size. Since the engine is pretty much dead that's in it I was wondering if almost any v8 could go in it's place or if it has any specific engine that has to go it in. Also any good suggestion for a good engine would be great.
- Need to know what type of transmission I need for my 2007 ford Fusion S Automatic 2.3L vin 3FAHP06Z07R246616? I need to replace the transmission due to 3rd gear went out but not sure what transmission I need. Was told that it might cost $3000 to repair. Any input will be appreciated.
- What is the difference between a Electronic control module and Engine control module? I recently bought a cheap Ford Focus which was affected in floods… I got the water of the engine and pretty much all the places, all my lights and few other electronic functions work… But my engine doesn't turn on and my HUD is dead, but works on another car… What should i do?
- Smoke coming out of defrost vent on 1979 ford f150? After we changed the distributor and ignition switch it started doing it. My windshield has been fogging up but its on 50 degrees out. Heat and defrost are all off so it should not be doing anything.
