Smoke coming out of defrost vent on 1979 ford f150?
After we changed the distributor and ignition switch it started doing it. My windshield has been fogging up but its on 50 degrees out. Heat and defrost are all off so it should not be doing anything.
Strange. If putting the system into recirculate mode stops the smoke, you'll know that it is being drawn in from the engine compartment.
which would make me think that somehow you've accidentally moved something like a spark plug wire so that it is laying on the exhaust manifold
The heater core in your old van has a leak. It's not smoke, it's steam.
- White smoke coming from exhaust, Ford Zetec 1999 petrol? I have no other problems with the car, it has 1/2 tank petrol, and oil. At first I thought it may be the cold but, it happens too often for that.
- Steam/smoke coming from engine? 2001 Ford Taurus, V6. Only 86K. Just to note had the car over 6 months now. Works great nothing weird going on, except steam or smoke coming from engine but I noticed only comes from front end and when it's night and cold outside I can see it. I just change the reservoir about a month ago. The air does have a small leak that I know of. What are your thoughts? Please & Thank you.
- Smoke coming from exhaust after 15-20 mins of driving? I have a 1976 ford ltd 7.5l. It drives fine but after maybe 15-20 minutes smoke starts to come from the exhaust pipes. I checked the oil and radiator and it looks fine. Oil and radiator fluid is not mixing.
- Ford Focus 2008 1.6 Engine Lights Flashing/Blinking. Engine shakes when starting up and idle as well. Had smoke coming out yesterday? So yesterday when I was driving my ford focus 08 and stopped at a light, the exhaust started smoking. When I revved more it smoked more, but it was also smoking on idle a little. The CEL check engine lights are blinking slowly when I start up the car. What could this be? I was thinking spark plugs and/or ignition cables.
