I have a 2001 2wd ford ranger that I want to convert to a 4wd… How and what do I need to do this?!
A transfer case, front are rear differentials with matching gearing, front spindles and locking hubs, new drive shafts, the sensors, controls and wiring harnesses and a new processor.
Should only run you 7 or 8 thousand dollars
The first answer has everything listed, but for that your better off selling your ranger and getting one that has stock 4wd.
You don't. It would be way cheaper to change trade in your 2WD for a 4WD.
- I have a Ford Ranger 4.0 and the AC doesn't blow very cool air. I want to add refrigerant for very 1st time, never have added to any vehicle? I'm using a gauge to test the pressure. With AC on max the needle moves between 25 and 45, the blue normal range. The compressor cuts on at 45 and off at 25. This happens continuously. The outside temp is 80 degrees. Not exactly understanding what I was doing, I added a little refrigerant and now the needle goes to 47 in the yellow range. Will this do any harm? Can I remove the excess refrigerant? If so, how? Is the system fully charged? If so, why isn't the air cooler?
