Help me pick a truck?
I dreamed of buying an F-150 or Silverado, but because I'm a citizen of New York City, buying a truck the size of Silverado is not rational. I'm in doubt about buying a Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma or Nissan Frontier. I'm going to buy a truck in December, but I want to know which one to buy.
Of the trucks you mentioned, the Toyota Tacoma would be a good choice.
Read reviews, note who has recalls (Ford had one last week), observe resale values.
I own a 2011 Tacoma and love it. My son-in-law has a 2004 Tacoma with 360,000 miles on the odometer and it still runs perfectly. I have also owned a Ranger and liked that truck very much. Would not buy a Nissan Frontier.
Neither one. Owning a vehicle while living in NYC is ridiculous.
Toyota Tacoma is a best choice
They are all good trucks but you should get the smallest you can because you have to park it. The difference in utility would be negligible.
Keep in mind that NYC law requires pickup truck owners to install a cover over the bed. Only licensed commercial vehicles are exempt from this. So while owning an oversized vehicle in NYC is pretty ridiculous to begin with (unless you have your own driveway or reserved parking spot), paying for a full-size pickup truck when you can't use the bed is a very dumb move.
- Help truck isn't going into gear and when I let the clutch out it does? I have a 2001 standard Ford ranger. I barely had a new clutch put in last year. But anyway I was going down highway in 5th gear and as I was going to put it in neutral it made a loud popping noise and then died. So I went to the side of the road and tried starting it, nothing. It starts up fine but the minute I let off the clutch it dies and when I try to shift it into 1 3 or 5 it feels like some thing is blocking it it'll act like it goes into 2 an 3 but it doesn't engage.
- Which pick up truck is better? The Ford F-150 SuperCrew Cab or the GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab. Based on its appearance, safety, features, benefits, price, etc.
- Need a pick up truck for $2k or below? Looking to buy a Pick up truck for $2k or below. Does anyone have any good ones in mind? I don't want to go older than 1995. I have been a Ford guy and have been looking at 1997-2000 F150. Also don't want a longbed.
- Is a CHEVY Silverado a good pick up truck? How reliable and how maintenance free? Why many American insist on driving them? What about a DODGE RAM? Or a Ford F-150? how compared to a Toyota Tundra? actually I'm not noticing many Nissan Titans… But why? Nissan is not as good as Toyota?
