Is a CHEVY Silverado a good pick up truck? How reliable and how maintenance free? Why many American insist on driving them?

What about a DODGE RAM? Or a Ford F-150?

how compared to a Toyota Tundra?

actually I'm not noticing many Nissan Titans… But why? Nissan is not as good as Toyota?

All trucks require maintenance. My neighbor has 190k on his Silverado because he took care of it. I have 135k on my Ford. Toyota trucks are overrated and overpriced IMO but some people swear by them. I owned a Toyota before I bought my Ford. The Ford truck is superior in every way to my previous Toyota, I'm not a big fan of RAM trucks because my neighbors have had problems with oil leaks and the front end. RAM sells a lot of trucks because they are cheap. I don't think I would ever consider buying a used Nissan Titan because they have had a lot of problems but the new Nissan Titan with a diesel engine option is supposed to be a very good truck. Here is what my friend says about trucks:
* Don't buy a diesel truck unless you need the extra torque for towing
* Chevys are easier to work on than Fords. If you like to work on your own truck, buy a Chevy or GMC.
* Toyotas are overpriced for what you get and fuel economy sucks compared to Chevy.
* Ford has a good frame and front end. Chevy has a good engine to work on.

Ford F-150 is the most sold truck in the USA. Second is Ram 1500. Third is Chevy Silverado.

I don't know man k man

Anyone saying "maintenance-free" with regard to motor vehicles is too dumb to be operating one.

ALL truck manufactures have made some really good trucks and some really bad ones. Do you're research. Narrow down what you're looking for? Year, engine, 1/2,3/4 ect. Then ask or google you're question?

Buy whichever has the best price and the longest bumper-to-bumper guarantee.
