Ford Ranger dependability?

I'm looking at some Ford Rangers, 2007 to 2010. How dependable are they? How long have older rangers lasted? Looking at 60000 to 100000 miles on the odometer.

Mine is a '94 with the 3.0, manual 5 sp. At 136k still going strong with only minor repairs along with regular maintenance. My suggestion is to try to find one with one owner who has kept maintenance records regardless of the mileage. They are tough little trucks, maybe not the most pwerful, but few can beat them for reliability.

The older rangers last a long time. I have a 92 with the 2.3 and it's still going well over 130k miles. As for the newer rangers, I would stay away from any ranger with the 4.0 SOHC.

Ford Rangers are dang near indestructible. I think their useful service life is measured in centuries.

I've got a 93 model with the 2.3 liter and it just hit 300,000. The only things I have replaced are coil packs, ignition module, o2 sensor,3 clutches, timing belt, and regular maintenance items. She doesn't have a lot of power left, but doesn't leak or burn any oil. Its been a great lil truck.Had good luck with Toyota truck too
