91 ford ranger, restored?
I just turned 15 last Mounth, I have this guy near me who dose work on trucks and cars and sells them for cheap. And this is the one is a 91 ford ranger regular cab (7.5 foot bed) and 73k miles on it, fresh paint, 4 in skyjacker lift, new hubs, 1 ton solid axel (front), locking hubs, and everything down to the door trim replaced… Buy it for 7,500 how it is or 5,500 with out tires, get it or hope to find a better deal but my main question is I'd there any thing that goes wrong on these trucks around so many miles. Blow motor, trans slip or ect. Thanks for your time.
"restored" has many meanings to many different people!
It's still a "used car" and you will be buying "as is"
Has the motor been remanufactured? Transmission? Transfer case?
I still drive an 88 XLT with 340,000 miles on it, and still own an 89 XLT. Except for the son wrecking it, the 89 is still a great truck!
.
A 91 ranger isn't restored its repaired.
not much goes wrong if you keep the servicing up.
if you arent going off road id look at a mustang instead.
- Would a long travel suspension kit built for a Ford Ranger Edge/Sport also fit on a Ranger XLT? I found a long travel suspension kit made for a 2002 ranger edge/sport but I have a XLT same year. Would it still fit on and function the same?
- Will a ford taurus car with 3.0L V6 engine be able to interchange with a 3.0L V6 ford ranger? If I purchase a ford taurus for cheap, can I just strip both engines down to long blocks and put the intake, exhaust manifolds, and everything off my ranger over onto the taurus engine, would everything bolt up and work?
- Will a 1993 3.0 Ford Ranger engine fit and work with my 1995 Ford ranger that has a bad motor? My 1995 ford ranger 3.0 5 speed ran hot and cracked the heads and spun a bearing. Will a 3.0 out of a 1993 Ford Ranger fit and work? My concerns are the 1993 has a distributor and my 1995 does not. Are the water pumps and accessories the same?
- What would be better for me? Ford Ranger or Ford F-150? I'm 15 and I can get my permit in a week. I know its earl but I've been looking on Craigslist for 4x4 trucks just to get an idea. All I would use it for is to go from school to work to home, haul my dirt bike or four-wheeler to my friends house once in awhile. I'm putting my price limit at $4000 dollars.
