2001 ford ranger xlt fuel filling problem?
Every time I go and try to fill my gas tank, the pump shuts off and a lot of gas shoots out.
Anybody know what the problem could be?
I tried the forums but not getting any luck as to most people has this problem but don't know what it could be
There's a hose at the top rear of the tank which might be pinched or clogged. That hose is connected to a pressure release valve. The valve could possibly be stuck or bad, too. If so, that will cause the fuel to spit out. Also, make sure nothing is inside the filler neck that might be causing the clog.
