2000 ford ranger window rolls down but not up?
I have a 2000 ford ranger recently my passenger window stopped rolling up with either the drivers or passengers switch. It rolls down and the drivers window works fine. I took off the door panel and ran the motor straight to the battery and it rolled up and down fine. I thought maybe the switch but the switch for it on the drivers side doesn't work either but works for drivers window. I'm confused… Anyone got answers?
The power for both the windows goes through the master switch on the driver's door before it gets to the other switch on the door. Because of that it sounds like the problem in a bad switch on the driver's side preventing the power reaching the opposite door switch. Very common issue. Bear in mind that each window switch is separate form the other except for the fact that power is routed through the driver's switch first.
- Why did my 2000 Ford Windstar just blow all off the tranny fluid out. But now its not leaking anything? I drove it with a trailer attached all day then I dropped the trailer off and drove home. When a was turning on to my street the car violently shuck but kept going I pulled into my drive way and looked under my car and big puddle of tranny fluid everywhere. So I filled it up this morning and drove it 75 miles and when I got back I was still full on fluid and nothing was leaking. So WHY?
- My 2000 Ford Ranger 6 Cyl 3.0 L has been overheating. Pretty sure its a radiator problem but odd symptoms? Truck exhaust will puff moderate amount of white smoke (every now n again) on cold startup but will subside after engine warming up.Truck "Was" overheating until i put more coolant in but realised cap was steaming along with coolant reservoir (reservoir was also bubbling). So i bought a new radiator cap. I got a safety cap and after installing I drove a little and engine temp goes to red really fast. What could it be? Thermostat? Water pump? Blown head gasket?
- 2000 Ford ranger won't start, but still has power? It has a brand new battery, battery cables, ignition switch, starter, and starter relay. Yet when I get in it has power enough that everything comes on, but if I turn the key once, the entire truck goes dead. I can reset the battery, and the process will begin again. I don't have anymore ideas.
- How to fix window from 2006 Ford F150 that isn't power window but rather manual? My window seems to roll down perfectly but when I try to roll it back up it makes popping noises and is very difficult to roll back up and I have to use my hand to push it up. My Windows are not electrical but they have have the old style manual roll. It's the passengers seat. If anyone knows how to, I'd be happy to know!
