1994 ford ranger transmission trouble shifting from 3rd to 4th gear?
1994 4cy automatic transmission is having trouble shifting from 3rd to 4th seems to get stuck in 3rd for a few seconds while stuck it revs engine up if i let go off gas seems to help with the shifting could this be a selenoid any info could help
Not a solenoid but possible the o/d band is worn which means rebuilt is in order. Find local shop at ATRA.COM for road test and estimate to repair. 94 was the last year of hydraulics before it went t electronic in 95
It is over 20 years old, time for a rebuild, as trans man said. Take his advice, do NOT go to AAMCO.
Replace the 3 to 4 solenoid.
