How much can private and federal student loans garnish from your wages?
I haven't paid my student loans in a long time- I know it's bad. They want too much, I can't afford to pay all of them and still eat and pay my rent. I don't qualify for any consolations. Or forbearances. I have my federal loans, private loans with Navient and Wells Fargo. My question is, if they are garnish me, how much can they take? Is there a cap? Can all three garnish me, at the same time? How much will I be left with? And then once I'm in garnishment, is there any turning back? What is there to expect? Has anyone gone through this? My balances are so highly, (100k) I don't see myself ever getting out of this debt.
Nobody should ever go to debt to go to college especially since today a college degree does not mean anything anymore (except for STEM degrees but those are being devalued as well).
- How do you determine if your car is under California or Federal emissions if your emissions sticker is gone? I have a 1993 ford taurus 3.8L V6 GL 4dr. Sedan. I need to know if my car is under California or federal emissions. I know you are suppose to have a sticker on your car that tells you but mine was destroyed over time so I really don't know. Is their another way to get this information? How would I find out?
- Student Loan: Pay back what's borrowed or amount spent? I applied for an unsubsidized student loan from the William D Ford program. I will be a graduate student starting school this week. I took out 12K for this fall and for the spring. If I only use 11,500 would I still have to pay back the 12K that I borrowed or just the exact amount that I spent? Also if I only have to pay back the 11,500 can I use the rest of the money($500) as part of the repayment?
- Should their be federal limits on the money police can get from traffic tickets? In my small city- it seems like they are enriching themselves off minor traffic tickets. I've paid $600 so far this year alone and I'm not a purposefully reckless driver. I wonder if that's how they can afford their higher salaries (than the median where I live) and 2015 ford police cruisers (whereas most people here drive old cars).
- Should Ford motor company sue Christine Ford for $1B and garnish her wages for life? I mean their good name will forever more be associated with unreliability. Instead of "Ford Tough" they'll be known as "Ford Flake".
