Will a mustang raise my insurance?

I'm looking into to and probably buying a 2000 ford mustang v6. I'm 18 years old and live in Maryland. Currently on my insurance plan ( I have liability) is my 2005 dodge neon sxt that I was and still am paying $220 a month, and now that I've sold it because of problems, I need something else. So I'm going with a mustang. I would ask my insurer but he is currently unavailable. Before I was looking at a 99 camaro v6 and I called and ask if it would raise my insurance costs and he said no. So I'm assuming I'll be fine but I'm not to sure. Give me as much information as you can!

Mustangs and Camaros tend to have higher insurance liability ratings then a 4 door compact like a Neon but since the car is older than your Neon it may balance out the cost. So had it been an 2005 Mustang V6 it might have gone up. And since they said a V6 Camaro shouldn't raise it I'm sure the V6 Mustang would probably be the same way. Only way to really know is to call your insurance company and ask.
