Insurance costs of a 92 Mustang LX convertible?
I'm looking to buy a '92 Ford Mustang LX convirtable. I'm trying to figure out how much the cost of insurance would be for it. I'm 23f with a clear driving record and the car is valued at around 5k with only 35 miles. 4-speed automatic with 5.0L v8 overdrive engine.
Insurance prices could be all over the place depending where you live and what levels of coverage you choose to carry.
The value of the car will keep your collision & comprehensive costs reasonable. Since the car is only valued at $5k the insurance knows the maximum they'd have to pay out on those policies is $5k (at which point the car would be declared a total loss).
But the liability coverage will be expensive. The amount of damage or injuries you could cause to other people doesn't change just because the car is old. You're still taking about a sports car with a 5.0L V8 and a 23 year old driver.
The only way to know for sure is to get some quotes.
Only 35 miles on a 27 year old car? Something is fishy.
Nobody here can tell you how much insurance might cost you. You can only get that information from an insurance agent.
As much as an insurance company authorized to insure in your state will charge you
Sorry, but only an insurance agent can tell you, because rates depend on yyour credit rating, where you live, where you work or go to school, the accident statistics of the area between the two, how far you drive a day / week / year, where the vehicle is parked when not in use, what level of coverage you need, other licensed drivers in the same household, and a pile of other things. Call or email a half dozen companies or a broker that handles multiple companies, give them the VIN number if you have it, and get quotes. Being a convertible and a V8 is going to hurt you.
What state are you in? What coverages on the car? Etc.
Crazy car for a young person. V-8 and convertible means high insurance.
Ask your insurance agent, no one here can do anything other than guess. There are too many variables. I can say as a muscle car it will be higher for you.
Insurance will be $1.982 and a few odd farthings plus 2 schlotzkies
Sigh… They walk among us…
That all depends on your driving record, age, sex, and state you live in. Call Geico, General or GOOD2GO
Yes there are. There are many costs involved with owning a Rustang LX, and insurance is definitely one of them.
You do know nobody does insurance estimates in here, right? You might get a few blind guesses, but blind guesses won't really help you.
- Where is the phone speaker for a bluetooth on a 2010 Ford Mustang convertible? I have a 2010 mustang and I can't find the phone speaker inside my 2010 ford mustang. I have seen where it is in other convertibles but can't find it in mine. And ppl are having trouble hearing me.
- Weatherstripping on my 1992 Mustang LX convertible? I own a 1992 Mustang LX convertible. The weatherstripping is dried out and rain is getting though the seals. I searched for weatherstripping kits and they are $400 and up, which I think is a ridiculous price. I assume that I'll have to buy the convertible top weatherstripping from Ford, but will it be ok to use off brand on my doors and etc? Should I spend the extra cash on Ford made weatherstripping or will an off brand do just as well? Thanks guys! Feel free to throw in any random tips
- Too Good to be true? 1997 Ford Mustang Convertible? I'm interested in buying a 1997 6 Cylinder Ford Mustang Convertible for $1500. The car runs very cleanly and it has like approx. 136,000 miles on it. The only problem is that it has been sitting in the sellers backyard for like 5 years. Could it sitting for that length of time have caused any major malfunctions that should prevent me from buying it? The seller has also said that the car has a new transmission if that helps any.
