What's wrong with my 2002 Ford Mustang lock/unlock switch?
When the car is on or off I can't lock or unlock using the switch on either door. The only way I can lock/unlock is by using the key fob or by manually using the key. Do I need to replace something? How is the car locking when I use the key fob but not when I press the buttons inside the car?
The MOST LIKELY issues are inside the door.
The actual switches could be bad.
The actuators may have failed.
The fuse for the power locks may have failed.
It is also possible the physical connection between the power lock actuators has become detached from the actual lock mechanism.
The fuse is the only thing you can check without opening the door panel.

- When did Ford switch back to the Mustang 5.0? I recently bought a 92 f150 and the seller claimed the engine was a Mustang 5.0 from the first model year they switched back to the 5.0. I have no idea when or if Ford did this, but I assumed it was in the 5th generation. The guy did say it was late 90s to early 2000s. Any help on where to find the factory casting nubers or plates would be awesome.
- What's wrong with my 2002 Ford Mustang ABS light bulb? I own a 2002 Ford Mustang and recently I was replacing my ABS light bulb but the bulb I put in won't work. I turn the car on and let it run it's self test and the ABS light doesn't turn on. It won't turn on during self-test or after, it's as if the ABS light bulb is pulled out but I just put a new one in there? And the old bulb doesn't work either now. Do I need a new bulb? Or when a bulb is removed does it break the speedometer? Do I need a new speedometer now?
- Kill switch on 2006 Ford Mustang? Sometimes my car will randomly die. There's a hidden button that when I push it, power is restored to my car. What is the purpose of this? And does anyone have any idea as to why my car would be randomly dying? It doesn't happen often, but I would like a reason. The button is located in a spot that makes it difficult to accidentally hit it with my foot ora anything like that. Yes the kill switch is by the pedals in the floor. What can I do to avoid this problem?
