What kind of car should i get? - 2

I'm want a manual rwd car with a lot of horsepower. (Under 5k budget) i was thinking 96-99 bmw m3 or 2004 mustang but my uncle says mustangs aren't good cars

You uncle does not know what he is talking about. By all means do not buy a 1997 or 1998 BMW M3. A general problem with the 1997 & 1998 model vehicles is the Intake Air System. The system leaks and can result in poor running of the engine and/or Malfunction Indicator Illumination. An occasional problem on this vehicle is the failure of the Motronic Control Unit. Failure of the Motronic Control Unit is due to water intrusion. The failures of the Intake Air System are not specific to any one part, so the $ cost of repairs will vary. With a budget of about 2,500 for my first car, I'm deciding between a 2002 Mazda Protege with about 150,000 miles, a 2004 Suzuki Forenze with about 135,000 miles, a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix with about 140,000 miles, a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer with about 160,000 miles and a 2001 Ford Taurus with about 130,000 miles. I want a car that is fuel efficient yet stylish, so please leave any suggestions from the cars listed above.
