What kind of police officers get to drive the newer marked vehicles?
Like a Dodge Charger, Ford Taurus, and Chevy Tahoe? The newer and nicer vehicles. Do you have to be a certain rank? Or in a certain division?
There's no standard answer, it is totally up to the department. Some departments assign cars by seniority, on other departments whoever shows up first picks whatever is left in the parking lot.
Varies by department and needs of the department.
- Why do Republicans get upset when Americans buy superior Japanese vehicles? The only somewhat decent US manufacturer is Ford but nowhere near the quality of Honda, Toyota, Subaru, or Nissan.
- What kind of car should I get? How much will it cost? I want a convertible and a truck. Don't go telling me that's too expensive because I just want to get a price range and opinions at this point. Convertible: Used or new. Red, white, silver, black, dark blue. TOYOTA, HONDA. Truck: Used or new. Sliver, red, black. TOYOTA, HONDA, CHEVY, RAM, FORD. Which is best? What are the costs on all of these BRANDS?
- Can a police officer buy a brand new unmarked police car with out his department's Do Dodge and Ford sell their unmarked police cars to individual police officers if the officers directly contact Dodge or Ford? Or do they only sell their unmarked police cars directly to police departments? Happy Gramps You are wrong. Dodge and Ford have their factory equipped Charger and Ford Interceptor (Taurus) models with police packages
- Should their be federal limits on the money police can get from traffic tickets? In my small city- it seems like they are enriching themselves off minor traffic tickets. I've paid $600 so far this year alone and I'm not a purposefully reckless driver. I wonder if that's how they can afford their higher salaries (than the median where I live) and 2015 ford police cruisers (whereas most people here drive old cars).
