The blower motor sounds like it is going bad. The bearings in the motor are worn. You will want to prepare to replace it.
Thank you!
Does it do it when you move the controls? Not the blower control but the vent controls? If so it's what's called the blend door. It's controlled by a small geared motor that goes bad and makes a sound like someone knocking on the dash with a knuckle.
- Heater isn't hot enough in my car, is there a way to make the heater better? I drive a 1998 Ford Taurus Wagon, the heater on it is alright but when it's 10 degrees outside it kinda sucks. Is there an actual way to make your heater hotter?
- My 2000 Ford Windstar has a coolant leak. What could be causing it to leak? It has two leaks. One is from the passenger side near the front tire and the second is right below the driver's seat. I have to replace the coolant after I have had the heater on for a bit. I never have it on for more than 15 min. Not because the coolant runs out in that time but I just don't use it for long. I took it to the mechanic and he stated it was the "lower intake manifold gasket". I'm asking if anyone has any other ideas because that repair is pretty pricey.
- What could cause a knocking noise on my 2000 ford mustang? The noise could be compared to a tractor. It happens while I drive and when it idles. The tractor sound gets worse as I shut the engine off.
