Is 273,000 miles on a ford mustang bad?
They want $1500 for it and I just a wanted it so it could get me to work.
If that's the one and only POS car where you live I guess you have no option… But I bet there are others
That's high mileage for any car, but for $1500 if you get 6 months of mostly trouble-free driving you've done pretty good.
any car in that price range is going to have problems and be a risk of dying the next day, so who knows, maybe the fact that this one is such high miles is a clue that its been well maintained and it will actually be a better deal than something with less miles but poorer condition.
That's one of the advantages of a rear drive platform - You can drop in a 'new' engine and/or a transmission in a good days work.
Lot of miles. How's the engine? Expect to spend some money every other months for maintenance.
If it runs and drives well and passes state inspection, offer 1300

- Is a 2000/2001 ford explorer with 250,000 miles on it bad? Looking at a ford explorer honestly know absolutely nothing about it other than it has at least 250,000 miles on it supposedly highway and interior is a bit messed up. I haven't seen it yet but my boyfriend agreed that we wanted it already. We have kids and wanna make sure we will actually get some use out of it and it is worth paying $1000
