If you put a new engine and transmission?
In place of an old one do you they have to be the same year? Or can I put a 95 4.6L V8 with a ford T-45 5 speed manual transmission of a different year? Thank you for your answers in advance. Stupid answers will be ignored. The 4.6L V8 is going in a 2003 ford mustang
Correction 97 4.6L V8 out of a 97 mustang.
Depends on where you are, and whether you are subject to periodic emissions inspections to maintain your registration. If you swap a different year motor into your car, it has to meet the Emissions standards for the Higher of the 2 years. A 1995 engine in a 2003 mustang must meet 2003 emissions specifications, so you need to make the 2003 catalysts and ecu electronics work with the '95 engine. It is typically easier to just use the correct engine.
- How look to put in a new engine? I'm having a new engine put into my 2009 Ford Taurus Limited. I was seeing someone could give a rough estimate of how long it would usually take to take out the old engine and put in the new one. I just want a rough estimate of how long and if the process is a lot more complex than I'm thinking
- Is it worth it to put a rebuilt transmission and engine in a car? I saw a used Ford truck online for sale. It only needs a new transmission and engine. Would it be worth putting the money into a 1993 Ford Ranger?
- I need to put a different engine in my 1982 Ford Ranger Lariat and I don't know what to put in it? It's the biggest engine you could get at the time in those trucks, so it is a v8, I just don't know the exact size. Since the engine is pretty much dead that's in it I was wondering if almost any v8 could go in it's place or if it has any specific engine that has to go it in. Also any good suggestion for a good engine would be great.
- How much do you pay to ford if you want to buy a new car and pay monthly? I was wondering, if I want to buy the new 2015 mustang, how much do I pay each month to ford if the car is $26,500. First car for me
