Honda Civic Coupe 2016 EX-T vs Ford Mustang 2016 V6 basic?

I'm 22 and I just started working on my new job. I'm thinking about getting a car. I like the Ford Mustang 2016 but I can only afford the basic model right now. I tried test driving the Honda Civic 2016 and I liked it. Ever since I was younger I've always wanted to get the Ford Mustang 2016. My workplace is 38 miles away and the Civic obviously has a better mpg. Should I get the Civic for now then trade it in and get a better Ford Mustang once I get paid more on my job or do I just go for the Mustang now?

And have you checked your budget to to find out just how much car loan you can afford? The loan stays with you a long time---better make sure you can afford it now and 3 years from now.

I know they both reliable car but people say buy american cars cause if you buy overseas cars like honda or toyota their parts will be More expensive but i don't want to buy a ford or a chevy cause they are not reliable but most people say if you take care of any car including fords it will be ok
