1996 ford mustang 3.8 v6?

Hello I'm 18 and I'm searching for my first car. That I own. I see a 1996 ford mustang with 108, xxx miles on it for 2,800 inside and out of the car look clean and appears to be tooken care of well the fact it's an 18 year old car, what problems does the year have and what are things to look for before purchasing and what future problems could I expect? Also how many more miles would I be able to get out of it, seems like American cars are only good for about a max of 200,000 miles

If you go to this site, you can see the most problems from a vehicle.

Mustangs are HORRIBLE choices for first cars, even if it runs fine you will pay through the nose on insurance and the 3.8L's are pretty weak engines.

I would pass and get something else

If you are looking at any car the biggest indicator is how it was taken care of.

does it have a good service history and recipts? Mustang v6s are good engines if left alone but the the 3.8 never had great fuel economy. V8 one would be cheaper to run

its usually when people want to make their mustang faster… The problems at 200,000 are usually transmission wear out.
