Just bought a new truck, but wish I would have bought the Ford instead
I put 8000 down and the first payment is due next week.
Would it be wise to trade it just keep it for awhile?
If you signed the papers and drove off the lot, then congratulations - the truck is yours (and depreciated wildly the second you drove it off the lot)!
Trading it now would mean bringing a depreciated vehicle to the deal - they'll take it as a trade (giving you as little as possible for it), meaning you will be upside down on the vehicle you buy (which will then depreciate as you drive it off the lot as well).
Best to just keep the one you bought, pay it down a bit, and then if you still aren't happy, then trade it in on the one you want.
If you don't want it, waiting a while will only hurt the value. Get rid of it As soon as possible.
Hi so having made the choice it gets expensive if you now change your mind.
Changing your mind will be very expensive.
Do you have $2500-3000 to blow? Go ahead & trade.
You would essentially be saying "byebye" to that $8000 you put down.
Wait it out a few years, and then trade. Double-up on payments if you can.
Buyers regret.
Too late now.
Enjoy your truck for the next three years.
Buyer's remorse counts for nothing, except the several thousand dollars in additional debt you'd incur if you tried to trade at this point.
Buyers remorse is a strong emotion. Keep the truck.
Trading it in now would create a huge financial loss for you. How much money can you logically afford to throw away.
If you don't trade it in quick you will be under even more. I would trade it in now.
- Why would people buy older foreign cars instead of brand new American cars? I see it all the time, people driving 7-8 year old Mercedes or BMWs that they paid probably paid around $20,000. They could of easily gone out and bought a brand new Ford or Dodge, but they didn't. They bought a Mercedes with over 100k miles. All worn and torn on the inside. But aslong as they're shining on the outside I guess.
- How to get the title to my truck I just bought? I bought a small Ford Ranger pickup for only $500.00. I made the first payment and received a receipt. I made the second payment and he refused to give me a receipt. He gave me the keys and the truck. But no title or receipt. Now he said I never paid him and he wants another $250.00. What can I do legally? He refuses to give me back my $500.00. Said he doesn't have to because he is now going to repossess it.
- Party of women took a woman who wanted annonymity and outed her, now her life is ruined. All fine if they get their political wish? Pretending they give a flying fug about Christine Ford is a level of hypocrisy that is unmatched in modern history. Its 100 percent polictics and too f'ing bad for her.
- Looking to buy a car privately which hasn't been serviced in 4 years but only 9000km (they bought the car brand new)? As above. the car is a Ford EcoSport 1.5 titanium it has 9000km only but they say they've never had it serviced? should I stay away from this car? also, since there's no service history could this be a case of odometer roll back fraud?
