Is a two-seater a realistic idea for a first car?

I want a 2005 or 2004 Ford Thunderbird but I not completely sure because i'd prefer a 4 door vehicle. I'll probably just use it to go to school and shop and stuff just casual things. I don't have kids or siblings and I don't need room for equipment but it'd be fun to cruise around with a couple friends, you know. Do you guys have any other suggestions, I chose this car because of some reviews I read and I really really like the retro-ish look to the car.

You could not cruise around with a "couple friends" in a last generation T-Bird - just one. It only has two seats and you'd be in one of them.

Does it snow where you live? This car is RWD only, it would not be a great winter car. If you want a convertible a Camry Solara or something like that would be more practical. Also I assume you are young - a 2 seat car with a V8 will probably be expensive to insure.

A 2 seater will definitely restrict your overall useability. You might be better off looking at Mustangs or Camaros as they seat 4.

If it only have 2 seats, you can't cruise with multiple friendS and anything sporty will be very expensive insurance wise

Yes, it is, check this baby out…Is a two-seater a realistic idea for a first car - 1

Every teenage fast sexy 2 door sports car. We either had it in highschool or we wished that we did.
Sporty cars are to high to insure for new driver - really - insuarnce for teenagers in sports cars is just a huge amount. And new drivers do not need vehicles that they do not have the skills to drive. I'm being very serious here. Bother of those cars have enough sport and speed to get any new driver killed in a very short time. They are huge risks for fatalities.

  • Typical lib thinking? Ford had no idea when it happened, had no idea how she got there, no idea how she left, clueless who was there? And despite that every person she listed as a witness made a statement in a sense said Ford was wrong… The lib brain… Get even at Trump…> yep - Kavanaugh did it.
  • Should I turn my car into a 4 seater or 5 seater? I have a 1979 Ford Fairmont Boxtop 2-Door. It currently seats 6 people (3 on the front benchseat and 3 in the rear). Should I turn it into a 4 seater (2 in the front and 2 in the back). Or a 5 seater (2 in the front and 3 in the back).
  • Would this be a bad Idea for my car? I have a Toyota Camry 2007 that is worth around $6,000 possibly. With that money I have enough to buy a used 2005 Ford Mustang GT for around the same price. Bad or good idea?
  • Can my idea work? Car buying? So, I want to buy a 2012 Ford Mustang V6 base model. I know… Income the comments about masculinity. Whatever. I'm in the snow belt of Ohio (I'm aware its not the safest option) and I wanted to get snow tires for it as well. Now here's my idea/question. Can I use the trade value of my current car toward steel rims and snow tires with the dealership or would I have to sell it privately or for scrap metal? I will be putting a cash down payment as well.
