Maybe to them self's they do.

Vics are very burdensome vehicles requiring constant repairs/maintenance when they get old and have high mileage. I would recommend getting something else, trust me I've owned them before.

But then when I try to shift into reverse the car won't move the wheel just spin but it moves in drive

That's gotta be a brake problem if the wheels are spinning and it's not moving the brakes are the only reason for that besides ice. Why is reverse locking up your front brakes? I have no clue

Take your foot of the brake.

Someone chained it to a tree?

  • Is my ford crown Vic a v6 or v8? And what is my top speed supposed to be? I have a 99 ford crown Vic police interceptor. I always believed my car was a 4.6L v6. But when I was looking up cars online. It said crown Vic was a v8. So of course I typed in Google a 99 crown Vic police interceptor and it still says 4.6L v8.
  • I have 1998 Ford Windstar as of now when I put in drive/reverse it won't move. It just revs. The car starts up fine? It started while I was driving down the road and I pressed the gas to go a little faster and my rpm went up to 4 and went down. I have an automatic too. There's no burnt smell in my transmission fluid stick/tank. I just left the gas station before this happened if that helps. Any ideas? Someone suggest my second/reverse band and I have never heard of it.
  • My car won't move in drive or reverse? I have a 96 ford thunderbird 4.6L v8 I was going down the road about 40 mph when I heard a deep kind of grinding/screeching noise under my car it was raining so I didn't pay it any mind thought a belt was wet or something but then I pulled into a parking lot and then it started to shake/vibrate and then my rpms went through the roof I could not reverse or drive I thought it could be u-joints or flex plate (btw it was the first time actually driving the car in about a year)
