How to remove the original stereo out my ford laser 1998 model?
There are no small holes in the side to put them wire like tools in to pull it out so I have no idea how to get the head unit off? Please help me?!
Is that a factory unit?
You might need to remove all the plastics around it to expose the bolts that is holding it to the frame.
You either find screws that hold the plastics or you will need to pry them off with a flat screw driver or a prying tool.
Are there very small trim panels on the left and right side of the radio unit? (From your picture, it looks like there's one on the left side, but can't tell if there's another on the right). If the small panels are there, you might be able to pry them off with a small screwdriver or pick tool. Then you'll find the holes for the removal tools underneath.
We don't have the Ford Laser in the US, so I haven't worked on one. But it looks like some Mazda radio units I've worked on, and the Mazda has removal key holes under the small side panels. (Ford owns Mazda). So yours may be similar.
- I have a 1975 Ford LTD, four door, with about 17,300 original miles with all the paper work for sale? This was my dad's and is going to be for sale. I'm curious what I should ask as the selling price on it. I don't know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is that green color that was popular back then with no damage and is very clean.
- How much is a stock all original 1969 ford f100 worth? Its all original with a 360 V8, three speed on the tree manual transmission, 2 barrel carb. I mean nothing has been changed besides the gas and oil. The color is faded blue, there's no rust in the cab or in the bed. A little surface rust but no holes.
- I have a 2007 Ford Fusion with 6 CD Changer factory stereo + Sirius. Is there a way to remove Sirius and put an HD Radio module in instead? I'm assuming the Sirius is a plug in unit to the factory stereo. If so, is there a plug in HD radio unit I can swap into it?
- Are the original facrory installed 2010 ford fusion SE V6 brake pads ceramic? I know the mototcraft pads are organic, part #br1164-b. The ford genuine part number # br1164. Just curious if the 1164 is ceramic.
