How to claim an abandoned vehicle that is in a parking lot I do not own?
I have been watching this classic ford sit in a parking lot for the past 3 weeks. I believe it is abandoned. I do not own the lot it is in though. Does anyone know what I need to claim it as my own? Tell me everything too please!
Added (1). It is a ford falcon just to let you know if it changes anything. I'm guessing 1976ish
You can't just "claim it as your own". Nice try though.
Check to see what the salvage laws are in your county. You maybe able to get a salvage title. I would recommend that you contact the owner of the lot to see if they have permission to park it there too. Sometimes people do not have a place to park so they may have permission to leave the car there and the car is owned and watched over by someone.
Say what. You've got to be kidding. Are you a troll?
Someone parks their car in a private lot, and you think that gives you some kind of claim on the car.
"Well they just left it in the street."
3 weeks is NOT "abandoned". The owner of the property is the person with rights to have it towed and stored by the state.
You have no grounds of "claim" at all.
- Is a face lift for a vehicle a new generation for a vehicle? I heard that in 1989 Ford Ranger received a facelift but was a new generation or just a minor update that did not change the complete model of the vehicle?

- Is the vehicle below good vehicles to own? A 2006 Jeep Liberty with 65,000 miles and a 2005 Ford Expedition XLT with 77,442 miles. Also the Expedition would be use as a traveling vehicle and back vehicle. The Liberty would be use as a personal vehicle. What are common problems with these vehicle's?
- Parking break wire bypass? I recently bought a Pioneer AVH-x2600bt stereo head unit. I have it all wired up and the parking break wire is the only thing that is left. I'm not quite sure how the best way to go about it is. I'm installing in in a 2004 Ford Escape without premium sound if that helps at all.
