How important is a 5,000 mile inspection/ maintenance?

I bought my Ford about a year ago, I just get a letter in the mail reminding me I should bring my car in because it just passed 5,000 miles.

Will it affect the warranty if I don't?
I'm currently at 5,300 miles.

If you ain't done it, it needs the oil changed. And yeah. It can affect your warranty. Especially if you use any other brand of oil filter besides FOMOCO.

Fix
Or
Repair
Daily

But just go to regular mechanic for oil change

If you have a warranty, it's very important to follow their instructions to the letter, or else they can use it as an excuse not to pay you if something goes wrong. If you don't have a warranty, they are just trying to get you in there, so they can tell you what's wrong with your car, and charge you to fix it.

Have you had an oil change?
Even if you haven't hit the mileage for an oil change, you should have one at least every 12 months.

When is the tire rotation due? 5,000 miles?

To keep warranties in effect, follow the maintenance schedule.

Very. Keep your car serviced and safe. The dealer will check your vin for updates, bulletins, programming, any safety recalls. There's more to it than an oil change. Checks all fluids, suspension… Lights… Yes and very… Keep it maintained

Yes it will effect the worry if you put to many miles over the 5000

5000 for new cars during Warranty yes but 10,000 after the warranty

These reminders are to get you into the shop for the warranty work AND to find things wrong with your car that isn't covered under warranty = $$$$$$$$. When I bought my car, they wanted me to bring it in. I did. They wanted to charge me $349 just to look at the car! That charge didn't cover any parts or labor required to make any repairs. I refused their offer. I'm still driving the car 110,000 miles later.
