P0019 & P0022 Codes in a 2009 Fusion, but no symptoms?

Girlfriend just bought a 2009 Ford Fusion (SEL, 3.0 V6) with 35,000 miles on it. There was a check engine light on, but since we were at the dealer so late, they said bring it back in and they're gonna take care of it.

I pulled the codes myself since we can't get back for a few days, and got the P0019/22. I don't know anything about the timing/cam sensors etc that was related to this code. The engine shows no symptoms or signs that the website mentioned, and runs perfect. No hesitation, stuttering, misfiring, etc.

I would just like to know a little more info so when we goto the dealer, they can't feed us some BS story and just reset the light or something and say it's fixed.

Are these common codes to get? Should we be weary of anything? This car is SPOTLESS, engine baby looks brand spanking new. 2009 with 35k miles, old lady owned prior. Runs like a top.

If your mind you think it is OK to ask invisible strangers online as to technical issues with a vehicle, may I offer an opinion that this is not a wise move? Only a trained mechanic with lots of experience should be approached as to the codes you mention. You see, numbers or code, at time are to get the technician headed in the right directly. They are not item specific even though there has been a lot of improvement. My recommendation stands. Find a mechanic for an accredited source of information. Best of luck.

Hi so here is the situation the modern motor car is more electronic than the older ones. So it needs it's computer to run the engine as it controls everything. So when the service light comes on it needs a service. They also clear the memory when they service the car correcting any problems. However ignore it at your peril. Because it will decide one day to do one of two things. Either not start at all or when driving switch into LIMP HOME MODE. Which means it will only travel very slowly.
