Why does my 2006 Ford Fusion heat stop working when sitting in traffic? - 1

It sounds like you have a low coolant level! Just check the radiator and overflow tank per instructions in your owners manual. Do this when the engine is cold so that you can peek into the radiator cap to make sure it is all the way to the top in the radiator, then make sure the coolant level is at the level line in the overflow tank.

Top off using 50% antifreeze mixture!

  • Why isn't my 1999 Ford Windstar heat not working? Last winter was pretty cold and I have been working to try fixing my heating problem. I took it to a shop and he said I'd have to take it to the dealer. My budget isn't that high so I replaced the blend door acuator myself and that didn't fix my problem. Not sure what to even try. My A/C works fine and air will blow out but absolutely no heat. Need Help!
  • What would cause heat/ac blower motor on car to stop? Every so often the heat/ac motor on my car stops. I remove it (which is fairly easy) and put it back on. Then it works fine. I have checked the connections and fuses. They seem fine. The switch works too. Could it be a faulty motor? A new one costs $25-$50. Any ideas? 2002 Ford CV, V8, with climate control.
  • My radio won't stop scanning, doesn't stop on any station, why? It's a stock 93 Ford Taurus radio, only am fm and cassette, cassettes work but I don't want to use. How can I get my radio to work again? My antennae was loose but I tightened it but it still won't work!
  • 2003 Ford Taurus SES heat not working correctly? The thermostat will be up to temp where it should be reading on my dash, I also have plenty of antifreeze in and I'm almost positive that wouldn't be my problem… When I turn the the heat on I will get decently hot air blow out for a few seconds and then it'll immediately turn to cold air… What do you guys think? Hopefully it's a fuse I'm thinking
