Ford mondeo V6 overheating?
My ford mondeo started overheating while in motion. When I pulled off rhe road, I discovered the hose was leaking as a result od weak clip. The clip was replaced and thereafter the water pump was discovered to be leaking. It was replaced and after about 30 mins drive, the temp guage rose to the peak. I pulled off the road, allowed it get cold and toped-up the water and it was ableto take me home. But the temp guage rose to a maximum of about 35% after the refill.
Please what could be the cause?
Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Use Engine coolant instead of water?
- My 2000 Ford Ranger 6 Cyl 3.0 L has been overheating. Pretty sure its a radiator problem but odd symptoms? Truck exhaust will puff moderate amount of white smoke (every now n again) on cold startup but will subside after engine warming up.Truck "Was" overheating until i put more coolant in but realised cap was steaming along with coolant reservoir (reservoir was also bubbling). So i bought a new radiator cap. I got a safety cap and after installing I drove a little and engine temp goes to red really fast. What could it be? Thermostat? Water pump? Blown head gasket?
- Ford mustang 2001 v6 3.8L code p1285, overheating, radiator leaking? My car has the p1285 code. Radiator pukes from the bottom. I refill radiator and temp is stable but overheats as the water drains from radiator. -I replaced thermostat -belt is good, running -no leaking from hoses -fan works -no leaks from anywhere else. -AC works What could it be? Bad sensor?
- 2000 Ford Focus Overheating I have an 2000 Ford Focus Automatic. It recently started overheating about 2-3 days ago. So far what I've done is replaced the thermostat and filter. I also drained the hoses and added water. I went to AutoZone to purchase an radiator relay, but ultimately didn't need it because both of the fans are working properly. Any suggestions?
- 2002 Ford Explorer still overheating? We just replaced thermostat & gasket & it has been running great all day. All of a sudden the temp spike straight to red line & when I stopped it had smoke coming from under the hood & the resivor was empty. I filled the resivor before I drove it. What could it be now?
