2002 Ford Explorer still overheating?
We just replaced thermostat & gasket & it has been running great all day. All of a sudden the temp spike straight to red line & when I stopped it had smoke coming from under the hood & the resivor was empty. I filled the resivor before I drove it. What could it be now?
Those composite radiators are prone to leaking with age.
- Replaced cylinder heads and head gaskets, but car is still overheating? 97 Ford Taurus, replaced the cylinder head and head gaskets. Car started fine and we let it run for a while before taking it out for a test drive. After about ten minutes the car started to overheat again, coolant came out and steam came from under hood. We also replaced the thermostat. What other possibilities are there?
