Ford F100 frame strength?
I was wondering if my 1970 f100 could handle around 500ft lbs of torque or do I have to box the frame?
The key would be the size of the rear tires, & weather they are street or slicks. With street tires, the initial torque would just spin the tires instead of picking-up the front end like slicks might.
- Will I have issues with frame twisting with this setup? 1978 Datsun 280z, LS2/T56 swap from an '05 Pontiac GTO, stroked to 427 ci, forged bottom end, heads/cam/intake, approx. 550rwhp, Ford 9" rear end, 4.10 gears, 10 inch width wheels running 275mm tires, 8 point roll cage. Looking to be able to launch a decent wheelie on drag slicks and not twist the rust free frame.
- What size tires would a 1967 ford f100 have? I've got the truck and ready to work on it only problem is that its tires have gone bad so I can't drag it to a workshop to even start working on it. The truck is a Ford F-100 3/8 ton
- Switching from manual to automatic? 1977 Ford F100 truck? Hello I'm going to switch manual to automatic, I just need to know the cost estimate if I had it done professionally. I know it will be expensive but I want this truck only.
- Is the 2013 ford mustang a unibody or frame body? I crashed my 2013 Ford Mustang GT/CS and i'm just curious if its going to be totaled. One the airbags went off and also the whole front of the car crumpled up… But the big medal frame is still good… One of the guys that picked up the car said it will probably be repairable due to the frame or unibody being intact… I want to know if its a unibody or frame built.
