Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota?

Please no jokes or insults: Which is your favorite and why? What is the difference: body type, under the hood, tires, transmission?

Toyota. Because they're the easiest to put on a lift. The other three care nothing about this and Chevy is downright horrible to lift with their curving frame.

I'm not the most knowledgeable about this but I do know the basics.
I'll say this:
I'm a Ford guy. For me, Ford has always been very reliable, and my Fords have never let me down. Right now I drive a 2005 F-150 with the 5.4 Triton, which is very reliable. The newer Fords have 5.0s, 6.2s, and some have a twin turbo V6. All trucks have pros and cons, and I believe all companies make a good 1500/150 truck. What really matters is who is behind the wheel and if they are taking proper care of their truck.

Chevrolet makes a great truck also, but I'm not a big fan of them. Personally, I wouldn't drive a Chevy just because I grew up in a Ford family and my grandfather would roll over in his grave if I drove a Chevrolet. Chevrolets have the 5.3 Vortec engine, which is fantastic. The same engine is used in Tahoes and Suburbans, and if you look on the road you see plenty of them. So it has proven to be reliable. Dodge has the 5.7 Hemi, which outweighs torque of the other brands.

Toyota. They'll run forever if you keep them.

  • Ram, Chevy, Ford or Toyota 1/2 ton? I'm looking to get a 1/2 ton truck. I like all the trucks which makes it hard to pick. Right now I have the Ram on top of my list. I would haul and go off road with. Also would use it as a family truck. I'm just looking for the truck that is best overall with power, durability, comfort and convenience. Your input is very appreciated.
  • Ford, Dodge, Toyota or Chevrolet? I'm a Ford/Dodge kind of guy. I hear the saying, "Chevy Runs Deep." Well what's gonna tow it back out? Haha. But for real, maybe throw in some fact with your answer. Mine is that the Fords came first, they're lighter, RUSTY WALLACE, and just the entire F series.
