Why does my car stutter when I accelerate?
I have a 2013 ford focus (automatic) and lately when I start to accelerate, like from a stop sign, it jolts or "stutters". I have no idea what it is…
The clutches and pump are going out and it is fixing to cost you about $2000
The FOCUS is made to more EUROPEAN standards and the oil choices you use are VITAL for good engine running! MOBIL ONE 0W-30 is about the BEST and easiest to use and lasts ONE FULL YEAR between changes on FORD engines, usually Take $20-40 to ANY oil change place and have them REMOVE and CLEAN the IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE! Have them clean the THROTTLE BODY as well! They can run GUMOUT and AMSOIL POWER FOAM through the PCV valves as well! HERE's the DEAL and what happens to your FOCUS engine! BAD and CHEAP Oil changes make TAR, WAX and sludge that eventually get into your ENGINE SENSORS and cause GRIEF as it HARDENS and COOLS! Just like WAX does after it is HEATED UP! RIGHT NOW your engine is SUFFOCATING for more air as the IAC is CLOGGING UP with TAR and then it BAKES into engine metals! Once the IAC and T body are SHOWROOM CLEAN the use of MOBIL ONE 0W-30 will ENHANCE fuel economy and reduce friction and PRESERVE bearings longest under COLD star conditions! POWER WASH engine and fOCUS on the space BEHIND the radiator where LEAVES seedlings bug bodies, FUZZ and COTTON collects over years of driving! This will improve AIR FLOW through radiator and the A/c system as well! So THERE it IS! BAD OIL does all the DIRTY WORK! Never buy oil only by VISCOSITY RATINGS as many of these oils are SLUDGE and TAR makers! Look for the FORD endorsement spec numbers, the GL numbers, the A/B numbers, and ILSAC< ACEA and JASO approval codes! MOBIL ONE 0W-30 fulfils 80% of most car needs SAFELY and CLEANLY! GOOD LUCK! Most oils from the CEILINGS on oil change places are JUST CHEAP money makers with BAD ratings! MOBIL and EXXON furnish JETS choppers and AIRPLANE engines NO VALVOLINE is used by them or any c plant or factory anywjhere on EARTH! BYE NOW!
This is a vastly common issue with the DPS6 transmissions (2011+ ford focus/fiesta automatics). This issue is addressed as follows: Reprogramming the pcm and tcm to the latest level. If that doesn't reduce the shutter, a visual inspection is required of the transmission for signs of leakage. Its common to see input shaft seals leak onto the clutch and cause shuttering, too. The technician will replace the seals, clean the clutch, and reinstall the transmission
Also, rest easy because this specific repair is warrantied to 7 years or 100,000 miles. Make an appointment with ford when you can.
Is it like hesitating cuz i have like the same problem with my toyota hilux 2.7 vvt-i 2009
- My 02 ford Taurus will not accelerate or reverse? It will crank, go in gear but will not move. I had a transmission flush in March. As far as I can tell, there was no indication that there was a problem.Other than the transmission, could there be another problem?
- Car won't accelerate, but rpms increase? I replace my alternator on Saturday and starting that same day my car has had problems accelerating. When I hit 10mph, the rpms shoot to 4000 and I have to ease off the gas pedal. Occasionally this is accompanied by a groaning noise. I made sure that the connections to the alternator were secure, but I'm not sure what the problem could be. The car is a 1997 Ford Taurus. I would really appreciate any advice.
- Car overheating, slight leak, rattle when accelerate - What could this be? Hi, I have a 1993 ford Taurus. Lately, my car has been overheating and I have noticed that there's a bit of leak. I have been keeping it full and it the temperature was fine. Just a few hours ago, the coolant was full but it skyrocketed to hot and makes a rattling noise when I accelerate. What could this be? I just got an oil change about a week agao, could this be related?
- Why does my 04 Ford Mustang hesitates to accelerate? My car stars up great and the transmission seems to work perfectly. However when I hit the gas, my cars hesitates to speed up. It vibrates to shift gears if I go easy on it. If i go a little hard it pulls back and then makes the shift. I have notice that when it is hesitating to accelerate I can help him by hitting the brake just for a sec and the hit the gas. Note; it has an automatic transmission. Sorry if i did not explain well.
