What should I buy Chevrolet Aveo, Toyota Yaris or Ford Focus?
I would like to buy a car. I'm looking for a gas saver and reliable car. After many searches, I narrow down to Chevrolet aveo, Toyota yaris, and Ford focus. They re having similar reviews except the Chevy aveo was discontinue since 2011. What do you suggest I should buy?
Ford Focus
I would suggest you buy a Consumer Reports guide to car buying and not rely on internet advice.
The Chevy Aveo is still around in the form of the Chevy Sonic. The name was changed after Aveo got a bad reputation for reliability and for airbag recalls, but the Sonic is basically the same car as the Aveo, built in Korea by Daewoo, and sold all over the world under several different names.
The Chevrolet is the least reliable of the three, hands down. Mark the Aveo off your list of possibilities. Both the Focus and Yaris are of good initial quality. However, when considering any used automobile, make sure the seller can show proof that the vehicle has be fully and properly serviced and maintained.
Focus, if it is a 05-10 model. Anything older is as unreliable as an Aveo. Otherwise Yaris.
Toyota Yaris. It's the most reliable. The Focus would be my second choice, but as Anonymous said, don't get one newer than a 2010. The Aveo isn't a very good car.
- Why would people buy a Toyota Hilux when they can buy a better, superior Ford Ranger? I owned a 2010 Toyota Camry and it broke down in 2011 upon reaching 0.6k miles. I treated it like a baby and it failed and disappointed me. My friend also owned a 2008 Toyota Tacoma and it failed to start in 2009 upon reaching 8k miles. And the mechanic said it was impossible to fix. However, my uncle has a 1965 Ford Falcon with over 750k miles on its clock and it still runs like new and he never even changed its oil since he bought it.
- Why would people buy a Toyota Hilux when they can buy a better, Chevrolet Colorado? Or even better and superior, Ford Ranger. My cousin is going to buy a pick-up truck next month and it would be a Toyota Hilux. How do I convince him that the Hilux is not reliable?
- Ford, Dodge, Toyota or Chevrolet? I'm a Ford/Dodge kind of guy. I hear the saying, "Chevy Runs Deep." Well what's gonna tow it back out? Haha. But for real, maybe throw in some fact with your answer. Mine is that the Fords came first, they're lighter, RUSTY WALLACE, and just the entire F series.
