What are some nice hatchback or sporty cars?

I really like the ford focus and honda civic hatchbacks. (The older ones) I'm 15 and am looking to get my first car. Prefer manual but will drive auto. What are some other cool hatchbacks? Or just a sporty car? I have around $4000

A really cool yet uncommon sport hatch is the Hyundai Tiburon, you can get the v6 for real performance too. Look at the 2003 - 2005 model to stay under $4,000.

  • What are some good first cars? - 1 I'm 16 and I want to get a car. I want something unique. Something when someone I know sees it going down the street, they'll know it's me. Here's some cars I was thinking of. -1988 Merkur XR4Ti -1991 Ford Crown Victoria Country Squire -1994 Mazda Navajo -2002 Lincoln Blackwood Which one should I get? What other unique cars should I look at?
  • Why are some Ford cars (like the Taurus and Focus) such unreliable cars? I'm looking at cars in the $3000 - $4500 range and I'm noticing a decent amount of Ford Taurus's and Focus's and out of all the cars that I see, these are two cars that just seem so unreliable. I test drove a Focus last year and it sounded like something was wrong with the engine.
  • Do some people really care that much about driving a really nice car? My dad is perfectly okay with his 1992 Ford Taurus with 210,000 miles on it, no heat (he lives in Chicago btw), no A/C, and a f::::ked up passenger side door. He's not poor by any means, he's a CFO of a bank. He just says that driving that P. Builds character and he only cares about having a car that can take him from point A to point B.
  • Sporty first car 4 cylinders? Hi, I'm looking for my first car I want a four-cylinder because its better on gas insurance will be lower but I also want something sporty and not something everyone has I like the Ford Probe but there's not many around where I live
