What are some good first cars? - 1

I'm 16 and I want to get a car. I want something unique. Something when someone I know sees it going down the street, they'll know it's me. Here's some cars I was thinking of.

-1988 Merkur XR4Ti
-1991 Ford Crown Victoria Country Squire
-1994 Mazda Navajo
-2002 Lincoln Blackwood

Which one should I get? What other unique cars should I look at?

At 16 I'm guessing you don't have unlimited funds for insurance. The Crown Vic is your obvious choice from this list but you'll be disappointed in the mileage.

I think you might be better off buying a good reliable car like a Honda or Toyota and adding custom striping or paint plus custom wheels to make it standout.

  • What are some current TV reality shows in the United States that restores classic cars that? Are accepting cars for restorations? Like Overhaulin, which is not accepting cars at this time. I want to surprise my husband somehow to get his 54 Ford finished for him and I can't do it on my own. Please include links if you can.
  • Why are some Ford cars (like the Taurus and Focus) such unreliable cars? I'm looking at cars in the $3000 - $4500 range and I'm noticing a decent amount of Ford Taurus's and Focus's and out of all the cars that I see, these are two cars that just seem so unreliable. I test drove a Focus last year and it sounded like something was wrong with the engine.
  • What are some good cars to make faster? I want to build a car that no one would expect to be fast.
