Sporty first car 4 cylinders?
Hi, I'm looking for my first car I want a four-cylinder because its better on gas insurance will be lower but I also want something sporty and not something everyone has I like the Ford Probe but there's not many around where I live
Mazda MX-6 (like the Probe)
1987-1993 Ford Mustang (4 cylinder)
1996 Toyota Camry 2-door
Please, do yourself a favor, stay away from Probe's. Watch "In Plain Site" one episode from the first season will show you what more Ford Probe's are.
You want a sporty 4 cylinder. Here are my suggestions.
Toyota Celica.
Volkswagen Beetle (think Herbie or Baja bug)
An older Jeep CJ-5 or 7. (nothing says sporty like a Jeep with no doors, no top and some nice off road action) The old 2.5L engines were decent on gas and decently peppy for what they were in.
Any small pick-up truck can be turned sporty with minor alterations. Even the old Dodge Ram 50's could be made cute and those 2.2 Mitsubishi engines that were in them were some of the best engines around. Great MPG also. Mine had a 5 speed and got 55 mpg on highway and 42 mpg around town.
Or if you want to go old school sporty get an old Chevy Nova. Those were some nice cars and with a straight 6 in them they still got mid 20's mpg.
Sporty and low on insurance? Yeah right. Sporty and low insurance don't go in the same sentence.
Sport utility category such as a Subaru is someone sporty and fun to drive. Also very durable and reliable…
- Why don't automakers commonly make 3 or 5 cylinders? Most reliable cars like toyota or honda are only come with 4 and 6 cylinder are available and what do you think of those engines? There's still exist, like discontinued inline 5 of vw, few inline 3 on ford and mitsubishi but 3 are unreliable.
- Sporty but powerful trucks? I'm a truck guy which means I like the power and durability of a truck but I also like to go fast like you would in a car. Are there any trucks that have a mix of the two performances? I've been looking at the Ford Raptor, but I can't find any others. Anyone know something like the raptor?
- Sporty and somewhat unique sedan under 10k? I'm trying to find a used sedan of any make or model that is sporty and preferably can have a manual transmission. It also needs to be somewhat reliable, and easy to work on. I would also be like for this vehicle to be 2005 and up, and under 10,000 dollars. I have looked into some Volvo's, Subaru's, and Audi's. I'm open to anything from a Ford to a Saab, I would really like it to stand out as well!
- Sporty cars with fwd for less than 15k? Does anyone know any good sporty cars, preferably coupe or convertible types that have fwd or awd for less that 15k. I like Ford Mustang, Subaru BRZ, Nissan 350z, Etc. But they're all rwd.
