Unsure weather or not to buy a factory extended warranty from Ford for my 2012 Ford Focus?
The car has under 30,000 miles on it. Does anyone have some insight on weather to buy a factory warranty from Ford or just put some money away for repairs. I plan to keep this car as long as possible.
Put about 400 hundred away each year for repairs - keep the money separate from any other so your not tempted to spend it. In the long run this is better - I too keep my cars along time - only once did I buy a extended warranty and I seemed to have broke even on it - I purchased a gold star with no deducible so it was all covered without any other added money from me… Good luck with the car
Not worth it in the long run…
- Why do some companies like Ford have a 5year warranty and others like Hyundai have a 10year warranty? Does the company with the longer warranty trust in their product longer? Or they know that the owner will have to do a ton of repairs and without a back up no one would ever buy them?
- Extended warranty voided on drivetrain 2015 mustang? Warranty voided due to "abuse" for racing on track. Wondering if I could trade in the mustang to a different dealership such as "Toyota" as an example and get a different vehicle… I was told I could only sell the car "as is" for a ridiculously low amount by Ford.
