Should i be concerned about this car tittle?
2 days ago o found a 2003 ford focus 106k miles for 1500 on a post in craiglist dc. I meet this guy in a open yard storage place where they keep other cars. When i handed him the money he gave me a tittle from virginia state and the owner appeared to be a dealership. The tittle was already signed with the same dealership name. When i went to the motor vehicle administration they told me they wouldn't process the tittle because it didn't have an actual name on it. I called him back and he told me to go back to where we meet. He asked me for the tittle and signed it under some ramdon name rosa gonzales a spanish common name. He is black and it has nothing to do but just so you know thats know even his name. After he signed it we went to a tag and tittle place and they process the tittle and gave me temporary tags for 30 days. Now the vin number is registered under my name I'm scare because i'm in probation and the last thing i want to do is get in trouble i took a picture of the old tittle that has the dealership name on that dealership is one hour away from me i called that dealership and they told me that they had sent the vehicle to an auto auction place. I called the auction place and they told me that they onlysell vehicles to dealers. My concern is why did he use a different name.
What is the best thing to do in this case? He didn't give me any letter saying he sold me the vehicle. Is it that he doesn't have a dealer liscence and thats why everything is so fishy?
I ALREADY CALL THE COPS AND THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THE CAR IS NOT STOLEN OR AT LEAST IT HASN't BEEN REPORTED STOLEN.
You aren't going to jail over it. Calm down.
Don't worry about it. If the DMV accepted the title and processed a new title in your name, you have nothing to be concerned about. If the car was stolen, they would have known about it.
- What car should I get for my first car? I'm 16 and about to buy my first car. I'm thinking about getting a 94 Ford Ranger (120k miles) with lifted suspension, off road tires, and a prerunner bumper. Would this be a reliable car throughout my high school years? Should I get that or should I just get a 2 door coupe?
- What RPM should my car idle while driving and what RPM should I shift? I have a 2003 Ford Mustang V6. 5 speed manual transmission. This is not the first manual car I've owned, but I'm curious. I never really look but I've read in some places that in order to save gas you should shift at 2 RPM before I used to shift at around 3-3.5 RPM. Also what's a good RPM my car should idle at while I'm in gear? Let's say I'm driving in 3rd gear. What's the ideal RPM to stay at before needing to shift.
- If feminists are so concerned with men treating women badly and raping them, how come they support Islam? In Saudi Arabia, women must wear black polyester in the hot sun all day and must obey their husbands otherwise they can be beaten in public. Except, feminists never say anything about this even though that is 12,000x worse than anything that is happening in the US. How is the President having a private conversation or Christine Ford making up fairytales somehow more important than governments sending women to death for not listening to their husbands?
- Which car should I get as a first car? Ford fusion 06 or 07 model? Or chevy avalanche 2002 z71. And last Mazda 6 04, 05 & 07. The newer the higher the price for each model(not by much). I'm a fan of each car and model style, so really want to know which last longer, cheaper maintenance and good car for a college boy.
