Tell me the location of the fuel filter on a petrol 2005 Mk2 Ford Focus 1.6 lx?
The car is a Mk2 new body style, I don't think the engine is a Ti-VCT, it's the engine type where the air intake from the filter box splits the inlet manifold at cylinder one and two and goes into the throttle body.
I have had a quick look under the car but can't see the fuel filter anywhere, the carbon canister which soaks up fuel tank vapours is easy to locate but the fuel filter is not in sight.
When should the Carbon canister be replaced? Also the car is using more engine oil than usual with no signs of oil under the car where its parked and is not blowing smoke out the exhaust, do you think this could be a faulty PCV valve? If so, is it a big job on this engine to replace?
