Need advice and help deciding what car I should get next that gets 27 or better mpg in the city?
I'm looking at getting a used car that gets 27mpg or better in the city. I want a car that is safe, comfy, reliable, has decent powder (won't be slow getting onto the highway) and isn't know to have major problems or any problems at all. Iv been looking into the 2012-2014 Honda civics, 2012-2013 Hyundai elantras, 2013 ford focus, 2013 chevy cruz and the 2014 Mazda 3.
What's your opinion on what I should get from what I'm wanting in a car?
Need all the advice and help I can get.
Honda Civic
My opinion would be for you to go drive all the vehicles you have mentioned and see which one you like the best. Reason being, what I might like, you may not. What I think moves on down the road faster, you may not. Since you will be the one driving this vehicle and spending your money on this vehicle, you need to buy the one that does what you want it to do.
If you want the car with a better combined miles per gallon that would be Mazda 3 at 31 mpg on a 13.2 gallon tank. Mazda 3 has a sport button that changes the shift algorithm from an overdrive to aggressive. Best way to describe using the sport button is quicker reflexes throughout the all gear ranges. It consumes more gas, know that is the trade off. The better handling car is the Mazda 3, all car industry editorial reviews agree. What I wanted in a car is exactly what the Mazda 3 offers, curb appeal, best in class gas mileage, the ability to scoot and down right fly (top speed 135 mph). Great handling because "I gotta go" and a car that will last longer than the car payments in the long run.
Hyundai, Honda and Chevy Cruz all have their strengths and worth your best consideration. I'm just trying to save you a little time. You will find head to head comparisons will bubble to the top Mazda best in all categories except trunk space.
- What's the city mpg of the Excursion? I'm wondering what the acutual city mpg of the 2003 Ford Excursion is. Don't give me any of the EPA stuff because, it's not on there. I want a gas compared to a diesel. I want to buy one as my first car.
- What is the actual city MPG of this truck? I'm curious what the city MPG is on the 2000 Ford Excursion Limited diesel 4WD. What's the actual MPG of this vehicle? City only.
- Should Sears and Ford HIRE Dotard McTiny as their CEO and get profitable again! If he can get Foreign Diplomats and American Lobbyists to? Pay $350.00/night to sleep in a tiny room in an old Post Office and keep it FULL and VERY PROFITABLE, don't you think that he could come up with an idea to save 40+ thousand American jobs?
- 88 ford ranger. Idling at 1200-1500 RPMs and gets 12 MPG. What is wrong? The only thing i have done to it was clean the intake with B12. I also used jb40 with that. Seems like sometime after that this happened. The truck runs great, its just idling high and its using alot of gas. Some trobleshooting tips would be cool. I don't want to go replacing a bunch of stuff i don't need too. I appreciate your help.
