Is it feasible to purchase a new car for myself?
I recently got a new job (part time) and I will be making about $800 a month. I currently have a 2001 Ford Focus.
My car has had a few repairs done. I'm not sure if it is worth buying a new car? Or should I keep my current car?
Keep your old car until you have saved up enough for the new one.
Its up to you, if you have the money and want a new car then buy one or else drive the old until it breaks down.
$800 a month from a part-time job isn't enough to buy a NEW car. Don't forget you'll have to buy FULL COVERAGE insurance, and THAT could cost you several hundred a month on top of the car payments.
If you want a different car, then save your money until you have enough to pay CASH for it.
Keep your old car for now. Save up money and then when you have enough, buy a used car. I would try to get a full time job.

- Lug stud is cross-threaded, the lugnut is gonna break. I'm gonna replace the stud myself, how do I break the lugnut off? I have no breaker bar, no impact wrench. No air tools. Better to pay someone to do it>? Car is 2005 Ford Focus if that helps, front stud.
- In my car the one of the bottom radiator hoses has a huge split in it & leaking everywhere, how much and how hard is it to fix it myself? Or is it one of those complicated things where it needs to go to a repair shop? My car is a 2001 Ford Focus btw
- Do you think buying a 2000 ford focus with 161,000 miles a good car purchase? For 1,000? I'm wondering if anyone will recommend, a 2000 ford focuse with 161,000 mileage as my first car, I recently got my drivers permit I want a car to practice my driving skills and I stubbled into the 2000 ford focus.
