Is a 2000 Ford Focus a good car?

I'm thinking of buying one for my niece. She needs an economy car to drive to and from college next August. About a 90 mile round trip twice a week. The car has only 75000 miles and runs and drives very nice. Asking 3 for it so it seems like a good deal. Its a little rough on the outside but nothing serious. Most everything else for sale in my area has close to 200000 miles and are usually priced well over book value. The CarFax on it checked out perfect and its a one owner car.

Apparently, Andres, the Tech in training, can't capitalize the name of Ford nor punctuate sentences correctly. I have a Ford product, a 2008 Mercury Mariner and it is an excellent car. The Ford Focus has an excellent reputation. However, this is a 15 year old car. It is best to have a mechanic do a complete inspection, specially as to the drive train. There could be services not done such as timing belt, water pump, coolant service, brakes and other scheduled services.

Ford= First On Race Day. Ok now we have the Acronyms out of the way. Focus is a very well regarded car. Good mileage, safety, reputation etc. Car Fax is good but as every experienced buyer will say. "Get it checked out by a qualified mechanic you hire". Also Honda,(Hell Of A Good Auto) or a Mazda for a good commuter.

No its a ford

I think you choose is good
