2014 Ford Focus engine sputters/jerks when starting from a stopped position?
We just purchased a new 2014 Ford Focus and I notice that when I'm completely stopped (at a red light, for example), when the light turns green and I give it gas, the car stutters/shakes a little until it shifts into second gear. I don't know how to explain this really. The car isn't sputtering like it's trying to cut off--it s more like when you try to give it gas too fast and the pavement is wet, you know how sometimes the tires spin and then they catch, so the car jerks a little? It's like that. Is this common/normal? The car had only 3 miles on it, and now it has about 100 miles. I'm wondering if this is just growing pains and it ll work itself out after it gets a few miles on it? Any advice/help is appreciated. The car runs great otherwise--shifts smoothly into all other gears. This happens only when the car is completely stopped, and then I give it gas.

This is your transmission. Take it in. It is covered by Ford for something like 150k miles. Its a known problem with these cars. Should cost you zero dollars.
- Ford ranger 3.0 v6 sputters when accelerating? My engine sputters when accelerating (especially after it's be warmed up or it's been sitting on a hot day) what could cause this? Coil pack? I've got new spark plugs inside. Does it need an ECU tune up? I'm also using 89 octane which helps but doesn't solve the problem
- 2007 Ford Ranger rear end jerks on acceleration after a downshift at about 20 MPH? 2007 Ford Ranger 28,000 miles, 8.8" Rear axle 3:18 gears auto trans. Every now and then when I accelerate from around 20 MPH and the truck downshifts there's a small jerk in the rear end a second after the downshift. Is this normal? I just bought the truck and never had RWD before. If someone knows what the problem is that would be awesome!
- My Ford Transit headlights turn on in off position and turn off in the on position? I'm a new driver, just passed my test. My van has some issue with the lights: namely, the lights turn off in the on position when the dash lights come on, and turn on when they are supposed to be off. This means that I'm driving at night without dash lights as I need to have the lights switched off in order for my headlights to be on. Might this be an electrical issue? Would anybody be able to give me advice and possibly know how much this costs to repair?
- How do I get my conversion back seat/sofa bed back into seat position if switch stopped working? Is there a way to do it manually? Want to put my Ford Econoline conversion sofa back into seat position but my switched stopped working. I have not tried to do it manually yet. Is it possible though?
