Is 40,000 miles on a Ford Mustang 2011 V6 low mileage and a good buy? Around what mileage do the ford mustangs start needing work?

Cars has had 3 owners spent 2 years out east then came to California.

The car is a minimum of 6 years old so it hasn't been driven much, less than 7000 miles/yr

Get it checked out by a mechanic but there should be nothing wrong with it with that mileage.

Thats low mileage but sounds fishy almost too good to be true… If it looks new like it was a garage kept baby its probably a good car. If it looks weathered either it sat dead for years in a field or somebody pulled a low mile speedo out of a wreck or something…

Maybe, Nick. Has the seller shown you proof that it has been fully and properly serviced and maintained the last 7 years? That's critical in determining whether it is a good buy or not. If it has not had its scheduled services then the risk would be high.

What is the seller asking for this beast? Make sure you are receiving a fair deal.

It is low mileage for a 7 year old vehicle. Average miles is 12,000 per year. This car will be good for 60,000 more miles.

Check the undercarriage. It might be rusted out. Test drive the car. If everything checks ok, sounds like a good deal.

Hi so it's about treatment like lack of servicing and repairs which impact mostly on a cars resale value. So design parameters to day by even a audi, Volkswagen, skoda, porsche, is 7 years or 100 k miles which ever comes first.

Not that much really

3 owners in 6 years, this raises a red flag

THey car will be fine

40K miles on a well serviced 2011 car is nothing. Just keep it serviced and looked after and it should have years of life left.

Anyone telling you a modern car is designed to last "7 years or 100k miles"… Is an idiot.
