2000 Ford Taurus Flex Fuel. No Start, No Fuel Pump priming?

I have a 2001 Ford Taurus Flex Fuel, that was running perfect till a day I let the kids jump around in it and drain the battery with the doors open and radio on. And with the jumper cables in the trunk(trunk can only open with power button). We try to hook a extension cord to the battery cable leads…(please don't say how stupid it was, we all know. It was a drunken moment of stupidity)… Everything in the car flickered. But now i got a car that won't start. Replaced one fuse under driver side that was blown(now the dashlights work)… But when i turn the ignition forward i get no start. And i don't hear the fuel pump priming.

What would be my first step in repairing this disaster?

First step would be replacing the battery. You might've blown the ECU but first try replacing the battery and see if it turns over and starts.

Change the battery before anything. Check all fuses (battery junction box and smart junction box) If the problem persists, Make an appointment with ford, be prepared for a couple hundred dollars of diagnosis time, but you're much better off doing it this way. By 'jumping' the car the way you tried you may have damaged the powertrain control module and/or other modules

Replaced the battery already sorry
