2011 Ford fiesta shifting problems after jump start?

My battery went dead and someone helped me jump start it. My car was able to start but it wouldn't shift to drive or reverse, only neutral and park. I don't know much about cars but I got a engine light on with the codes P0809, P087E, P2832, P2835, P283A, and P2832. I tried goggling this codes and they are related to "Shift Fork A and B, position circuit range/performance, and Shift Fork position circuit intermittent. I'm not sure what they mean and I can't spend any much money to fix it. A friend did some steps to reset the computer and got it to work but the next morning it was doing the same so I had to reset it again. Hopefully there's someone that knows what I can do to hopefully fix it at home or any suggestions.

Size of Ford Fiesta Passenger Door Compartment?

I'm looking for a 2nd hand car and thinking about a Ford Fiesta (around 2010).

The wife would like the front door compartment to be big enough to hold a bottle of water and the various bits and bobs she likes to have on hand.

Can anyone familiar with the car tell me roughly how big the door compartment is?

Advice on clutch control?

Hi, I've just bought my first car, a used Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 55 plate. Really excellent condition. Trouble is, I can't seem to pull away right. The car reacts differently every time I try something different. Most of the time it goes, quickly shudders, and then zooms off too fast. Haven't stalled it much, at least not as much as the family fiats I've practised in, but I'm worried because I only got a smooth pull away two or three times this week. Not sure what I was doing differently. Uphill is a massive struggle (also because I can't get the handbrake up high enough with my meagre arm muscles, which is a different matter).

I know all cars are different. The one I learned in, a diesel 1.6 ford fiesta, was amazing, and my boyfriend's new ford ka is fine. Just can't seem to get the hang of this one.

Has anyone had this kind of trouble with a Vauxhall? Any advice for a not particularly experienced driver? Or different ways of getting the biting point?

2014 Ford Fiesta Speed Volume control?

Whenever I try to use this feature, it just says "MyKey may prevent you from using this feature" though I'm using the MyKey that is programmed. Whenever i'm on the highway, the music isn't loud enough. Steps on how to turn this on?

Buying first car. I'm going for a used one. Is this a good choice?

Requirements: driving to work and back 4 days a week = 8 mile round trip (or 32 miles a week). Mostly consisting of slow commuter traffic.

weekend driving further afield to nice places to walk the dog. This is a total estimate, but I'd say anything from 30-80 miles a weekend on average which will include faster driving (motorways/dual carriage ways etc.)

on top of that probably 2 or 3 longer drives a year to see family (who live 200 miles away) or go on holiday somewhere further afield.

All in all I make that somewhere in the region of 5-7k miles a year.

I'm looking at a Ford Fiesta diesel. Main reason for the diesel being that my partner has had a food operation in the past and finds the clutch on petrols tricky as there isn't much leeway for error and, due to her operation, holding the clutch on a hill in a petrol can be difficult for her and is likely to stall.

Anyway, I have 2 in mind at the moment. A 2010 model with 100k miles on it at £4k, or a 2011 model with 100k miles at £4.6k

I could go more expensive and buy something nearer the £6k mark that has less mileage, but due to the amount I'm likely to use it, is it worth spending that extra £1-2k for less mileage?

Any advice with explanations welcome!

Bluetooth on my Ford Fiesta Zetec has stopped working?

The bluetooth on my Ford Fiesta Zetec has stopped working?

First car for a 17yr old?

I know insurance is ridiculous but I can understand why. This is why I'd want a decent yet cheap car to start with, most sites say things like a ford fiesta, peugot 106
and other small veichles. I wouldn't mind a small veichle at all, it would have to be 2nd hand, nothing against that, except I would need a vehicle that they still made parts for in case the worst should happen. However, my nearest dealer is Honda and ford, that's within 50 miles. I wouldn't want an electric car at all, unleaded or diesel as they're the easiest to fill petrol wise. Any decent cheap cars at all? The furthest I'd be able to go is £4000 and that's pushing it, anything £3000 would be great!
